Fees for 2024 – 2025 financial year
Synapse Psychology is not a Bulk Billing practice. This means that you will have a gap payment that needs to be paid on the day of the consultation.
According to the Australian Psychological Society (APS) the recommended fee for psychologists is $311 per 50 minute session, likewise, the AAPi recommends a fee of $315 per 50 minute session. The fees at Synapse Psychology are below the recommended national fee indicated above.
Depending on the service type and the clinician qualification, the fees at Synapse Psychology will range between $140 - $270 for a 50 minute session. Clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan referral from their GP may be eligible for a rebate on the fees with eligible clinicians. Synapse Psychology offers a range of assessment services and the fee for an assessment is therefore varied. Please contact our admin staff for a discussion of your needs to get a quote of what the particular assessment you are enquiring about will cost.

Assessments need to be fully paid for before a report will be released. Synapse Psychology offers the option for assessments to be paid off in increments during the assessment period to support clients in accessing this service.
