Online therapy is a very convenient and effective way to access psychological counselling.
At Synapse Psychology we have two clinicians who offer Telehealth only (Georgia Burke and Kathryn Mullen), whilst the rest of the team can also offer Telehealth in addition to seeing clients in person. The process to link up with a Telehealth Psychologist is very easy and the programs that we use are secure and confidential. Doing therapy online may feel a bit strange to start with, however your clinician will be able to put you at ease and you will soon be engaging with your treatment as readily as if you were seeing them in person.
You will need a reliable internet connection, preferably on your computer, however you can also connect through your phone. It is also important that you can be in a quiet space where you will not be interrupted by others. You will be sent a link from Synapse Psychology before your appointment; you don’t need to download any program, all you do is click on the link that we will email to you and then follow the joining instructions.
